A Three-Month immersive course
APRIL 3RD TO JULY 3RD
Color has a mystical quality. It is pure emotion—something we feel, responding on a deep, instinctual level. From Josef Albers to Wes Anderson, color is continually crowned the main event: the force that defines mood, meaning, and intensity within an image.
In this course, we will explore color as both subject and sovereign. Over three months, you’ll enter color through multiple points of access—technical, conceptual, and spiritual—building a rich, embodied understanding of how color functions in your work.
On a technical level, we will engage in a series of color exercises and studies that increase in complexity over time. Working in oil or acrylic paint, we will focus deeply on the art of mixing. Through collage, we’ll experiment freely with color relationships, contrast, harmony, and surprise.
On a conceptual level, we’ll examine the emotive power of specific colors and color families. How does color communicate? How can intentional color choices help your work speak more clearly, more boldly, more truthfully?
On a spiritual level, we’ll slow down and listen. How do we feel color? How do we attune to its vibrations, its energy, its presence?
This course is an invitation to experience color not as an accessory—but as the driving force of your visual language.
What to Expect
We will meet every other week for live sessions.
Each session will include specific homework assignments designed to deepen and extend your exploration of color.
All work will be shared and viewed through a private course page, creating a supportive learning environment.
Students are expected to complete the assigned exercises prior to each session, allowing our time together to be rich, interactive, and expansive.
Every session will be conducted live, offering space for discussion, feedback, and shared insight.
With each meeting, we will move up a level, gradually increasing the complexity—technically, conceptually, and perceptually.
Alongside the studio work, there will be suggested spiritual practices to help you connect more deeply with color on an intuitive and energetic level.

One Stroke at a Time
Join me for this self-paced, pre-recorded online course that teaches you how to paint flowers from a photo reference inspired by the Dutch masters. You’ll get over three hours of step-by-step demonstrations, guidance on choosing and preparing your reference image, and tips for setting yourself up for painting success.
Work at your own pace and enjoy lifetime access, all for a one-time fee of $199.

This is an 8-week online program designed to help you build confidence, clarify your creative vision, and grow both inside and outside the studio. While created with painters in mind, it’s open to all visual artists.
This is a highly personalized experience—no one-size-fits-all approach. Admission is by application, and tuition is $1,111 per student. Expect to dedicate 2–3 days of focused work each week.
